Naked bodies in Norwegian nature
Together with 20 other curios souls, I explored what it is to be a sensing, moving, pulsating body in the lively, pulsating nature of Norway. We explored our inner nature as well as the ecosystems of the nature of Østmarka, just outside Oslo.
Light, female body in the dark lake water. Her body, breasts turning in water. Around. Her head, hair turning in water. Around.
Disappears.
Suddenly she climbs on to the rocky wall. Moss, grass, small trees. She crawls. An animal. Creature in evolution. Making her way up up up on the rocky wall. She rises from all fours. Hands leave the rock. Spine rises. Standing on her legs. She runs. Up up up the rocky wall.
I don’t see her anymore. What a beauty.
Shivering body. My body. Water is cold. Embracing me. The cold reaching my bones. Shivering. Moving. Breathing. From water to land. I land as a starfish one the rocky surface. The tide has moved the waters and now the heat of the sun embraces my starfish limbs. Oh. Gravity is pulling my body towards the core of the earth. That starfish who loves gravity. The weight falling heavily on the warm rock. So delicious. Feeling the scratchy stone towards my skin. Drool runs from my mouth as I drift off.
A naked male body on the other rock. A body I feel love for. Stretching his legs, bending his hips. Arms moving together. Legs moving together. Those limbs. Movement patterns. The other bodies exploring. Other bodies exploring. That authenticity. Resting in your own exploration. With a minimum of social norms. Social awareness. Hate that social awareness. Here we can explore. Empower, inspire each other to go deep in our exploration.
These are glimpses of an ecosomatic journey I had this summer. “Eco” refers to the ecosystems of the surrounding nature. “Somatic” refers to the felt sense of being a body.
